The ribbon is for retransfer Fargo printers and its heat seal panel allows for color printing on tough-to-print surfaces such, as clamshell proximity cards. It better seals the image since the card surface isn't smooth like a standard PVC card. The Fargo HDP5000 and HDPii printers are compatible with the Fargo YMCKH full color ribbon with resin black and heat seal panel.
